Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
We collect your name, address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and information related to your orders and payments.
Information collected automatically when you use the app or service
- Device identifiers, including push notification tokens
- A user ID used to identify you
- Information about how you use the app, such as screens viewed and interactions
- Crash data, performance data, and other diagnostic information
Payment card details are collected directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not retained by us.
Purpose of Use
We use your personal information only for the following purposes:
- Providing services through the app, processing orders, delivering products, and responding to inquiries and complaints
- Age verification as required by law for the sale of alcoholic beverages (preventing sales to persons under 20 years of age)
- Sending push notifications, including announcements of new products
- Sending you information via email newsletters and similar communications
- Conducting surveys and collecting responses
- Data analysis to maintain and improve the service and to diagnose faults
We will obtain your consent in advance before using your information for any purpose other than those listed above. You may opt out of the uses described in items 3-6 at any time.
Third-Party Services and Outsourcing
We use the following third-party services and outsource certain operations in order to provide our service. Where we outsource, we appropriately supervise the outsourced party to ensure adequate security management.

Transfers to Third Parties Outside Japan
The data residency region for our Microsoft Azure resources is within Japan.
However, in connection with our use of Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Stripe, your personal data may be provided to third parties located in the United States or handled in that country.
Information regarding the personal data protection regimes of the relevant countries is available on request from support@beerbox.beer.
Retention Period
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of use, and for any period during which retention is required by law (including the Liquor Tax Act, the Corporation Tax Act, the Income Tax Act, and the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions). After such period, we will delete or dispose of the information by appropriate means.
Providing Information to Third Parties
We will not provide your personal information to any third party without your consent, except where:
- Required by applicable law
- Necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain your consent
- Particularly necessary for public health or the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain your consent
- Necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency carrying out duties prescribed by law

Requests for Disclosure and Related Rights
You may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension of use or erasure, and suspension of provision to third parties, in respect of your personal information held by us.
